Episode Synopsis[]
The greedy cake gang steal Sally's delicious birthday cake. Will the baddies scoff their yummy loot or can Brum bring them to a sticky end?

- During filming Brum had an accident, he was jumping over the yellow bin, but he actually fell breaking the stunt Brum.
- The same birthday cake prop used in this episode had a cameo in the episode: Brum and the Pizzeria.
- When it was aired in the USA, it was after Brum and the Diamond Dog.
- The scene where the Cake Gang follow Brum and the children who they spy on the cake, is a reference to Disney's Pinocchio.
- The Cake Gang hiding in the rubbish bins, where they see Brum and the two children delivering the birthday cake to Sally, is a reference to Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street.
- This episode marks the first time the Traffic Policeman gets covered in ice cream.
- The scene where the Cake Gang get stuck in the cement is a reference to the Bob the Builder episode "Wendy's Busy Day."
