Brum and the Flood is the twelfth episode of the second series of Brum.

Plot[]

Brum drives around noticing everything in the big town is very wet, this being due to very heavy rainfall that occurred recently. At the crossing, the Lollipop Lady tells Brum of blocked sewer drains. He later sees some workmen working on one. One man emerges and tells the others the sewer drain is too narrow for him, so Brum offers to check it. With ropes tied to him, Brum is lowered down the sewer system and the man leads him to the sewer blockage. Brum continues alone at the narrow portion and finds the cause of blockage: an inflatable crocodile is stuck. He sprays water at the crocodile with a hose, then when that does not work, he pokes it with his hand crank, which causes it to deflate and unclogs the sewer drain. However, the blockage bursts open and Brum gets washed in a tidal wave deep into the sewer system. He is approached by a robot the workmen had sent to search for him, which sends them video feed signaling his location. The workmen help Brum out of the sewer and dry him with a rag while a newspaper reporter takes their picture. Brum is congratulates for his heroism by everyone he passes on his way back to the museum. When he arrives, the museum owner finds in his seat the rag the workmen used to clean him.
